tenerife.org.es is an independent guide to activities, tickets, excursions and reviews in Tenerife. It's written by the tenerife.org.es team for people who are on holiday on the island, or planning one, and want to decide quickly: what's worth it, what it costs, where it leaves from and what can go wrong.
We're not the official website of the Cabildo de Tenerife (the island council), Turismo de Tenerife, Teide National Park or any park or operator. We don't sell anything directly, we don't take payments and we don't create user accounts.
What this site is for
Every page answers a specific decision: which boat to choose for whale and dolphin watching, how to get up Teide or which port it's best to sail from. We give you the useful fact first and our opinion second, and we say clearly who an activity isn't for.
How we put each page together
We always start with the official sources: the websites of the national parks, the Cabildo, the venues themselves, the bus company and the official gazettes. Opening times, rules and official prices come from there.
Then we compare the same product on the platforms we work with and report it in our price comparison: sometimes the price is identical and what changes is cancellation, and sometimes buying direct is cheaper. When that happens, we say so.
The companies behind each trip and each booking website have their own profile in operators and reviews, with what we know about them and what people who've already been say.
The island changes: trails close, fares go up, timetables move. If you spot something that's no longer right, email us at info@tenerife.org.es and we'll look into it.
How we make money
The site is funded by affiliate commissions from GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout. If you book through our links, the platform pays us a share of its margin and you pay the same as if you'd gone there yourself. There's no advertising network. We explain it in detail in the affiliate disclosure.
What we don't do
- We don't sell rankings: no operator or platform can pay to appear first or to get a better score.
- We don't make up reviews or ratings. The scores and review counts we show come from the platforms, and our operator reviews are based on published information and on what travellers report.
- We don't hide cheaper or more flexible alternatives, even when they earn us no commission.
Languages
The site is in Spanish, its main language, and also in English, French, German, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch, Lithuanian, Chinese and Japanese. The operator and platform reviews are only available in Spanish and English.
