Siam Park, Tenerife's big water park: tickets, prices, Fast Pass and planning your day

A ticket costs €44 (children aged 3 to 11, €32) on the official website, GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Headout: the price doesn't change, the cancellation terms do. Take the free bus, ride the Tower of Power first thing and don't buy the Fast Pass to skip its queue, because it doesn't cover it.

Siam Park is the big water park in the south of Tenerife, and it's worth a whole day of your holiday on its own. The ticket costs the same wherever you buy it, so the real decision is a different one: what happens if the day dawns windy and you want to change the date. For almost everyone, the sensible choice is the standard ticket with free cancellation, the park's free bus and, at most, a locker.

If you're also going to Loro Parque, the Twin Ticket saves you €10 per adult. The Fast Pass and the All Inclusive only pay off on days with long queues or if you plan to eat and drink inside all day; the sums are below.

Our picks

1

The default choice

€44, the same as at the gate, with free cancellation up to 24 hours before and pay later: your insurance if the weather turns.

2

If you're also doing Loro Parque

Twin Ticket for €78: €10 less per adult and €7 less per child than two separate tickets.

3

For zero queues and zero sums

All Inclusive: unlimited Fast Pass, food and drink in the restaurants, towel and locker.

4

Pay-later alternative

Same price; free cancellation closes 48 hours before, not 24.

What is Siam Park?

It's a Thai-themed water park in Costa Adeje, just above the TF-1 motorway. It belongs to the Loro Parque group, opened to the public on 15 September 2008, covers about 18.5 hectares and is open 365 days a year.

The two headline acts are the Tower of Power, a slide 28 m high and 76 m long that reaches up to 80 km/h and ends in a transparent tube through an aquarium full of rays and fish, and the Wave Palace, a pool of more than 13,500 m² with waves of up to 3 metres and water at 24 °C. Around them you'll find Saifa, Kinnaree, Singha, Dragon, The Giant, Mekong Rapids, the lazy river Mai Thai River and several children's areas.

At the entrance there's a sea lion island, Sea Lion Island. If you'd rather not see marine mammals in captivity, it's worth knowing before you go.

Siam Park ticket prices

Prices from the official Siam Park shop. The adult rate applies from age 12 and ages are checked at the gate; under-3s go free.

Product Adult (12+) Child (3–11) Canary Islands resident adult / child
Day ticket €44 €32 €22 / €16
Siam Night (summer evenings) €48 €36 €24 / €17
Twin Ticket Siam Park + Loro Parque €78 €57 €39 / €28
Paid bus (return) €21 €17 same

There's no senior rate: at 65 or over you pay the adult price. Canary Islands residents pay exactly half on showing proof of residence, a discount you won't be able to use as a visitor.

Twin Ticket with Loro Parque

One visit to each park, valid for 15 days from your first visit. It isn't in your name: at the first park you're given a wristband that you must keep on until the second, where they ask for the QR code and the wristband. The GetYourGuide listing says 14 days from activation, so count on 14 to be safe.

Two adults and two children save €34 compared with separate tickets. And a little-known detail: the Siam Park half can be used for Siam Night instead of a daytime visit.

Fast Pass: what it covers and what it doesn't

The Fast Pass Unlimited costs €99 per person, is sold online and at the ticket office, and gives priority on every ride except the Tower of Power and the Mai Thai River, which happen to be the two with the longest queues. It doesn't include admission, is valid only on the date you pick, the wristband is personal and there are no changes or refunds.

The Fast Pass Limited gives one priority go per ride, with the same exclusions, and is sold only at the ticket office on the day. Its price isn't published: ask when you arrive.

All Inclusive and VIP cabanas

The All Inclusive ticket costs €165 (residents €144): unlimited Fast Pass, food and drink all day in the restaurants, towel and locker. Not included: the Tea House, some of the alcohol, sweets, snacks and crêpes. The sums: admission plus the Fast Pass Unlimited already come to €143, so if you were going to buy the Fast Pass anyway, another €22 gets you food, drink, a towel and a locker.

The VIP cabanas cost €660 (Cabaña, 4 people), €990 (Casa, 6) and €1,320 (Villa, 8), plus €165 for each extra person. They include everything in the All Inclusive plus sunloungers, a shower, sofa, television and minibar; the Casa and the Villa have an outdoor jacuzzi. Note that €660 split four ways is exactly €165, so for a group of four who were going to buy the All Inclusive, the cabana costs the same.

Lockers, towels and other extras

  • Small locker €7, large €10, limited numbers.
  • Towels are sold, not hired out: €19.90. Bring your own.
  • Wetsuit: €28 child, €33 adult. Parking: €7, limited spaces.
  • Sunloungers, rubber rings, life jackets and parasols are included "subject to availability".

The day ticket costs €44 everywhere. What sets the platforms apart is the small print: GetYourGuide lets you cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before and pay later; Headout does the same with a 48-hour cut-off; Tiqets sells it non-refundable with no date changes. At the same price, there's no reason to choose the most rigid option.

The Twin Ticket costs €78 everywhere; the "-7%" Tiqets shows against €84 is just window dressing. GetYourGuide offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before and Tiqets refunds nothing: with a ticket covering two different days, that flexibility is worth twice as much.

The two-park combo with transfer costs €99 on GetYourGuide and on Tiqets: exactly the Twin Ticket (€78) plus an official return bus (€21). Before paying, check in the listing whether the transfer covers one park or both and which area it picks up from.

The All Inclusive comes to €165 on GetYourGuide and on Tiqets, the same as in the official shop. Check its cancellation terms in the listing: they aren't necessarily the same as the standard ticket's.

Two more traps. On Viator the only thing listed is a third party's "fast-track ticket" for €60, €16 more than the standard ticket. And if you see Siam Park "from €16", that's the Canary Islands resident rate. Our comparison for the rest of the island is in compare prices.

By TITSA bus (the "guagua", as buses are called here): line 110 from the Santa Cruz Intercambiador to the Costa Adeje bus station, then a 15-minute walk; from Puerto de la Cruz, the 102 to Santa Cruz and then the 110; from Los Gigantes, the 477 to the Costa Adeje bus station and about 25 minutes on foot.

Minimum heights and maximum weights

Measure your children before you buy. According to the official page for each ride:

Minimum height Rides
No minimum (children's areas) Sawasdee, The Lost City, Coco Beach
1.10 m Mekong Rapids, Naga Racer, Mai Thai River (shorter children with a life jacket)
1.10 or 1.25 m depending on the ring Jungle Snakes
1.25 m Saifa, Kinnaree, Singha, Dragon, The Vulcano, The Giant

The minimum height for the Tower of Power isn't clear: the official page mixes height and age, and the figures going around don't match. If your child is around 1.5 metres, don't promise them the slide until they've passed the measuring post in the queue.

On weight, Jungle Snakes and The Giant take 110 kg on a single ring and 180 kg between two on the double; everything else, 120 kg per person. To plan more days with little ones, see Tenerife with kids.

Planning your day

  1. The day before: check the forecast and, if your ticket can be cancelled, decide then. Pack a towel, sun cream and money for lunch: you can't take food or drink in.
  2. 09:30: first free bus from your area; the park opens at 10:00.
  3. 10:00: straight to the Tower of Power. It's one of the two rides with the longest queues and the Fast Pass doesn't cover it, so the first hour is your best card.
  4. Mid-morning: the 1.25 m slides, or the children's areas if you have little ones.
  5. Midday: lunch inside. Once you're in, you can't leave and come back.
  6. Afternoon: the Wave Palace and the Mai Thai River to slow things down, and the bus back between 15:00 and 18:00.

Sunloungers and parasols are handed out subject to availability, so with small children grab a spot near their area as soon as you arrive. There are changing rooms, showers and free wifi.

When to go, and Siam Night

From 1 May to 29 October the park closes at 18:00; the rest of the year, at 17:00. With the wave pool at 24 °C, winter isn't a bad time to go if the sun's out. If you have a Twin Ticket, save Siam Park for the sunniest day within your 15 days and keep Loro Parque for the grey one.

In summer there's Siam Night, the evening opening: every slide except the children's areas, wave sessions at 20:40, 21:40 and 22:40, water at 24 °C and a free bus from 20:00 to 00:00. Under-16s must be with an adult. Last season ran from 27 June to 29 August; the exact dates are published on siampark.net/siam-night.

Siam Park or Aqualand: which Tenerife water park?

Siam Park is the one with the big rides. Aqualand, also in Costa Adeje, is cheaper, lets you bring food in, has a senior rate and a dolphin show. If you're staying in the north, the handy alternative is the seawater pools at Lago Martiánez.

We look at how the park works as a business in Siam Park official.
