Whether it's a stag or a hen do you're planning in Tenerife, you'll find little that comes ready-packaged and hardly any of it good: GetYourGuide's stag and hen category for the island lists a dozen or so products, some with no reviews and a pub crawl rated 1.7 out of 5. What works is combining five types of activity that do get good ratings: a boat, a dinner show, karting, motor sports and a night out.

The group's golden rule: a full private boat works out cheaper per head than a shared boat party, and you pick the music. And do Teide at the start of the trip, never the morning after.

Our picks

1

A private boat for the group

Three hours with tapas and drinks for up to 7 people: if you fill it, it comes to about €64 a head.

2

Boat party

Free bar and DJ for 4.5 hours in Costa Adeje; a party atmosphere with other groups.

3

Adults-only dinner show

Scandal: cabaret, acrobatics and a tasting menu; over-16s only, with a dress code.

4

Karting, no licence needed

12-minute sessions on the 1,200 m track in Arona, with no licence or previous experience required.

5

Daytime pool party

Utopia Pool Party on Monkey Beach Club's Cielo terrace, Mondays and Fridays, over-18s only. It's run by Utopia Boat Party, not the club; the ticket doesn't include a table or day bed, and its 3.8 rating is only so-so.

Boats: private or a shared party

This is the activity with the most options for groups, and the maths is simple. A three-hour private boat with tapas and drinks starts from €450 for a group of up to 7: about €64 per person if you fill it. The boat party with free bar and DJ costs from €90 per person, lasts 4.5 hours and you share the boat with other groups; it's rated 4.1 from several hundred reviews. There's another boat party with a swim stop, from about €71, with far fewer reviews.

For groups of up to 10, Third Element's sailing boat Mugen leaves from Los Gigantes: €650 for three hours, with drinks, tapas-style food and snorkelling gear included. That's about €65 a head with the cliffs as a backdrop. More options in private boat charter and boat trips.

If you want a calmer hen do, the adults-only catamaran from Puerto Colón is shared but has no children on board, with a maximum of 12 people, a glass floor and whale watching.

Scandal Dinner Show (Hotel GF Victoria, Costa Adeje) runs on Fridays and Saturdays from 20:30 to 23:00: cabaret, live vocals and acrobatics with a tasting menu. It's over-16s only and has a dress code: smart casual, long trousers for men and no beachwear. The Gold ticket includes unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks during dinner. It costs the same, €94, on GetYourGuide and on Tiqets; on its own website you can cancel free up to 24 hours before.

Music Hall Tavern (MHT) is the comedy drag show with dinner: from €49 on GetYourGuide, at the Vivo Show Bar in Playa de las Américas, four nights a week. Drinks are extra and there's no transport. For something more medieval, the banquet and tournament at Castillo San Miguel runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Aldea Blanca, inland: without a car, buy the ticket with the coach included. Everything is in shows.

Karting, jet skis and buggies

There are two karting tracks in the south and you don't need a driving licence:

  • Karting Club Tenerife (Arona, exit 66 off the TF-1): a 1,200 m track. A 12-minute session in a 270 cc kart costs €30 at the ticket office or €25.50 online, which also adds two laps and the free bus from Los Cristianos, Las Américas and Costa Adeje (it has to be booked). Grand Prix packages from €70.
  • Karting Las Américas (Fañabé, exit 78): an 857 m floodlit track, €20 for a 10-minute session, open until 20:30. To run a race you need 8 adults and a deposit.

GetYourGuide Tenerife: Go-Karting Adventure 4.6 (465) €35 See on GetYourGuide
Tiqets Karting Tenerife 4.6 (88) €30 Best price See on Tiqets

Adult prices checked on 2 October 2026. They can change with the date; each platform confirms the final price.

On the platforms, a session at the Arona track is listed at €35 on GetYourGuide and €30 on Tiqets. Booking on its own website, you pay €25.50 for the 270 cc kart and €29.75 for the 400 cc one. If you don't need the platform's cancellation terms, book direct.

Karting Las Américas, open until 20:30, is sold on Tiqets from €20. More in karting.

Jet skis. Guided trips and the buoyed circuit don't need a qualification; hiring a jet ski to go off on your own does. To drive you have to be 18, or 16 or 17 with written permission from a parent and a copy of their ID. A two-person jet ski nearly halves the price per head. Everything is in jet skis.

Buggies and quads. These are priced per vehicle and the driver needs a valid car driving licence, held for one year or eighteen months depending on the company, and the physical card: photos aren't accepted. The Teide route always sticks to tarmac roads, because off-road driving in the national park is banned. More in buggy and quad.

And if you're after something different, Tiqets sells an axe-throwing session in Arona, with no reviews yet.

The night: Las Verónicas, Starco and The Patch

Tenerife's nightlife is concentrated in Playa de las Américas. Las Verónicas is the seafront shopping centre with dozens of bars and clubs; Starco, about 200 m inland, fills up earlier; and The Patch, towards Los Cristianos, is quieter and draws a slightly older crowd. The usual route: Starco to start, Verónicas from 1 am, and a club until closing. In tourist areas, clubs can stay open until 06:30.

By day, the group plan is a pool or beach party. The Utopia Pool Party takes place on Monkey Beach Club's Cielo terrace, at Playa de Troya, on Mondays and Fridays from 12:00 to 18:00, for over-18s only with an ID card or passport; it's sold on GetYourGuide from about €30. It's run by Utopia Boat Party, not the club, and its rating (3.8 out of 5) is below the island norm. The ticket doesn't include a table or day bed: if you want to sit down, you pay extra on the spot. Bring swimwear and a towel. The club's Sunday beach parties run from May to October. We cover it in Monkey Beach Club and nightlife.

Rules and safety

  • Safety around Las Verónicas. In the latest published half-year figures, the municipality of Arona recorded more than twice as many violent robberies as a year earlier, and the police warn that thieves target very drunk tourists around the area. There are police operations and night-time inspections of the venues, and from 22:00 to 08:00 you can't drive or park on the parallel avenue.
  • The practical side: licensed taxis from the rank, passports left at the hotel, and your drink always in sight.
  • Drinking in the street, noise and fancy dress come under each town council's bylaws: Arona for Las Américas and Los Cristianos, Adeje for Costa Adeje. If your plans include anything in the street, check them first.
  • Teide on day one: the cable car won't let anyone up who is under the influence of alcohol or wearing unsuitable shoes, and it doesn't give refunds. More in Teide.
  • Ages: Scandal, over-16s; Utopia Pool Party, over-18s; jet skis, drivers 18 (16 and 17 with permission).
  1. Day 1, afternoon: karting in Arona with the free bus, and a relaxed dinner.
  2. Day 2, midday: a three-hour private boat from Costa Adeje or Los Gigantes.
  3. Day 2, evening: a dinner show and drinks in Starco and Las Verónicas.
  4. Day 3: a quiet beach at Las Vistas or El Camisón, or the pool party if it falls on a Monday or Friday.

What should you do on a hen do in Tenerife?

What works best is a boat (private for the group, or a boat party with a free bar), a dinner show such as Scandal or the MHT drag show, and a night out in Playa de las Américas. An adults-only catamaran is the calmer version.

How much does it cost to hire a private boat for a stag or hen do in Tenerife?

From €450 for three hours for a group of up to 7 people, about €64 a head if it's full. In Los Gigantes, a sailing boat for up to 10 costs €650 for three hours.

Do you need a licence for karting or jet skis?

Not for karting. For jet skis, not on guided trips or the buoyed circuit, but you do to hire one on your own; the driver must be 18, or 16 or 17 with written permission from a parent.

Where should a group go out in Tenerife?

In Playa de las Américas: Starco to start, Las Verónicas from 1 am and clubs until 06:30. The Patch is quieter.

Can you go up Teide the day after the party?

Better not. The cable car can refuse entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol, without a refund. Do Teide on the first day.
