When people in Tenerife talk about "thermal" spas, they mean spa circuits: saunas, steam room and hydromassage pools. Apart from Aqua Club Termal, the spas in this guide are inside hotels, and several take outside visitors at their own rates. For almost everyone the choice comes down to two: Aqua Club Termal if you want a big spa and a long session, or the Anthelia circuit if you want two quiet hours for under €30.
If you're after something special for an occasion, the Oriental Spa Garden at the Hotel Botánico and Sandára at Abama are in a different price league: to outside visitors they mainly sell massages or a spa day with a massage.

The same ticket on Tiqets
A 2-hour circuit at Aqua Club Termal, handy if you already use Tiqets for other tickets.
Aqua Club Termal: the big spa, open to all
It's at Calle Galicia 6, Torviscas Alto, in Costa Adeje. It isn't a hotel but an independent spa and gym, and it bills itself as the biggest spa in Tenerife. The thermal circuit includes:
- steam room, pre-sauna and sauna;
- hydromassage pool, toning pool and hot tubs;
- flotarium (saltwater pool);
- shower temple and foot bath.
Spa hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 to 21:00; Saturday and Sunday 09:00 to 21:00.
Children: under-13s are only allowed in during morning slots. Monday to Friday, entry from 10:00 to 12:00 (they can stay until 14:00); Saturday and Sunday, entry from 09:00 to 10:00 (until 12:00). If you're going without children and want peace and quiet, weekdays from 14:00 are the best time.
Website price versus platform price: not the same ticket
| Platform | Product | Rating | Price | Where to book |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GetYourGuide | Adeje: Aqua Club Thermal Spa Entry Ticket | 4.5 (748) | €40 | See on GetYourGuide |
| Tiqets | Aqua Thermal Spa: Entry Ticket | 4.5 (16) | €40 | See on Tiqets |
| Official site | Aqua Club Termal, 3-hour circuit (non-resident) | — | €47 | Official website ↗ |
Adult prices checked on 2 October 2026. They can change with the date; each platform confirms the final price.
The table is misleading if you only look at the number. On Aqua Club Termal's website, the non-resident ticket costs €47 and gives you 3 hours. GetYourGuide and Tiqets sell it from €40, but the platforms' circuit is 2 hours. Per hour, the official ticket works out cheaper (about €16 an hour against €20). If two hours is enough, the platform saves you €7; if you want to make an afternoon of it, buy on the website.
Some resellers also show age-based rates for the 2-hour circuit: €40 adults, €24 ages 13 to 17, €21.50 ages 6 to 12 and €13 up to age 5. The Canary Islands resident rate isn't shown on the website.

Spa Sensations (Iberostar Anthelia)
The 2-hour "Hydrowellness" circuit for €29 is the cheapest hotel circuit for outside visitors in this guide. For €9 more it includes breakfast, and the "Gastro Spa" package adds lunch to the circuit for €55.
Oriental Spa Garden (Hotel Botánico)
An indoor and outdoor circuit in a garden: pool, hot tub, laconium, Japanese sauna, steam room, ice temple, heated water beds and pools in the garden. It's open every day from 08:00 to 20:00 and only admits over-16s. Non-guests are sold it as a spa day with a massage: from €120 with a 25-minute massage. Those are promotional prices; the full rate is double. Budget for a treat, not just a circuit. More on the area in Puerto de la Cruz.
Sandára Wellness & Spa (Abama)
It isn't in Costa Adeje but at Abama, in Guía de Isora, next to Los Jardines and Las Terrazas de Abama. It covers 450 m² with six treatment rooms and a water circuit with a hydrotherapy pool, contrast and bucket showers, an ice fountain, sauna and steam bath. It's open every day from 10:00 to 19:00 and takes outside visitors by phone booking (+34 822 720 319). Sixty-minute massages start at €130.
Mare Nostrum Spa (Playa de las Américas)
The Mare Nostrum complex, now operating as Spring Hotels, is listed by Tenerife Tourism with a 1,600 m² thalassotherapy centre. If you're staying in Playa de las Américas and it appeals, phone first to confirm whether it takes outside visitors and at what price.
With children or adults only
- With children: Aqua Club Termal is the only big spa that takes them, and only in the morning slots. For more family ideas, see Tenerife with kids.
- Adults only: the Botánico's Oriental Spa Garden requires you to be 16. At Spa Sensations and Sandára, ask about the minimum age when you book.
- As a couple: the Botánico and Sandára are the two that work as a gift or a getaway; ideas in Tenerife for couples.
Spas in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the north
The spas in this guide are in the south and in Puerto de la Cruz. From Santa Cruz, the nearest is the Oriental Spa Garden at the Hotel Botánico: about 38 km by motorway (half an hour by car) or bus 102 to Puerto de la Cruz in 1 hour for €5.25. Timetables on titsa.com and more ideas in the capital in Santa Cruz.
Yoga and other wellness options
If you'd rather move than soak, the south has outdoor yoga classes at Playa de las Américas and Playa de las Vistas, some at sunset and some for women only, from about €20–25 an hour.

Tips for a spa day
- Book direct if you want the 3 hours at Aqua Club Termal; use a platform if 2 hours is enough or you want flexible cancellation.
- Avoid mornings at Aqua Club Termal if you want quiet: that's when children are allowed in.
- For Sandára, phone: bookings are by telephone.
- A spa is a good plan for a cloudy day in the north, when the beach doesn't appeal.
- Combine it with the evening: Aqua Club Termal's night-time circuit finishes at 21:00 at the latest, when the spa closes, in time for dinner. More ideas in nightlife.
