Before you book anything, it's worth knowing who's recommending it to you and what they get out of it. Here it is, with no small print.
We are not an official website
tenerife.org.es is an independent guide. It is not the official website of the Cabildo de Tenerife (the island council), Turismo de Tenerife, Teide National Park or any theme park, museum, boat company or other operator, and we have no corporate relationship with any of them.
The trade names, trademarks and logos that appear on the site belong to their respective owners. We mention them only to identify what we review or compare, and this does not imply any sponsorship or endorsement on their part.
How the affiliate links work
We work with three booking platforms: GetYourGuide, our main partner, Tiqets and Headout. When you click a link to one of them and make a booking, the platform pays us a commission on the sale. The price you pay is the same as if you'd gone there yourself.
These links pass through our own redirect, with addresses beginning /go/, and are marked as sponsored (sponsored and nofollow attributes), as search engines require. The platforms' booking buttons and embedded calendars are also affiliate links.
Links to official websites, such as those of the national parks or the bus company, earn us no commission. We don't show third-party advertising.
Where the prices come from
The platforms' prices come from their public catalogues and we review them regularly. We check official prices on each venue's or operator's website. Even so, the final amount may differ when you reach the payment page, for several reasons:
- the platform changes the fare or launches an offer between one review and the next;
- the price depends on the date, time, age or number of people;
- optional extras are added, such as hotel pick-up or photos;
- your bank applies a currency conversion or a fee.
The valid price is always the one you see on the payment screen before you confirm. That's why we write "from" in front of the platforms' fares.
Editorial independence
Commissions don't decide what we recommend. No operator or platform can pay to appear first, to get a better score or to review a text before it's published. When buying direct is cheaper or has better cancellation terms, we say so, even if we earn nothing. Limits of the information
We check our information carefully, but opening times, rules, access and prices change without notice, especially in natural areas and on excursions that depend on the sea or the weather.
