Headout Tenerife reviews: prices, cancellation and is it legit?

In Tenerife, Headout is only worth it for two tickets: Siam Park and Loro Parque, at the official price, with pay later and free cancellation up to 48 h beforehand. For everything else its catalogue is small and has very few reviews.

Updated 2 October 2026Facts checked against official sources

Headout is a small platform in Tenerife, with a short catalogue and hardly any reviews outside the parks. Where it does deliver is on Siam Park and Loro Parque tickets: €44, pay later and free cancellation with 48 h' notice. Its weak points are that it doesn't tell you which company runs the activity and that it may add a service fee at checkout.

Who's behind Headout

Headout Inc. is a Delaware corporation with an address in New York, founded in 2014 by Varun Khona, its chief executive, Suren Sultania and Vikram Jit Singh. It has offices in New York, London, Dubai, Bengaluru and Berlin, says it has served more than 55 million customers and raised $60 million, and claims to be profitable. It's a private company. Its presence in Tenerife is small.

How it works

Headout describes itself as "simply a marketplace": the contract is between you and the provider. Unlike GetYourGuide, Tiqets or Viator, the listing doesn't give the name of the company running the activity, so you don't know who you'll be going with before you pay.

What it sells in Tenerife

About 23 products, several marked as new and most with few reviews or none at all. Park tickets are the only thing with any volume: Siam Park (4.7 from about 1,200 reviews), Loro Parque, Jungle Park and Aqualand. The rest are whale-watching cruises from Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje, Las Galletas and Los Gigantes, the submarine at €61, Volcano Teide tours at the same price as on its own website (€92 with the cable car, €52 without), observatory visits, trips to Masca and the Santa Cruz sightseeing bus at €20.

The pirate ship from Los Cristianos, from €27, is the cheapest option, but it has fewer than twenty reviews. For the same money, other websites have boats with thousands of reviews.

Prices compared with the official websites

At Siam Park and Loro Parque Headout charges the official €44. At the Aspro Parks parks it comes out worse:

Adult prices checked on 2 October 2026. They can change with the date; each platform confirms the final price.

Jungle Park costs €36 on Headout and from €34 on junglepark.es; Aqualand €37 against from €35 on aqualand.es. The combo of the two parks costs €69 on Headout, €16 to €18 more than the official joint ticket (€51 online, €53 at the ticket office). And here these two tickets can't be cancelled or moved to another date, whereas on Tiqets you can do so until the day before.

On Trustpilot some people accuse Headout of inflating prices by 30% to 50%. That isn't the case with standalone tickets in Tenerife: it charges the official price or €2 more.

Cancellation, payment and customer service

Each product has its own policy. For Siam Park and Loro Parque you can cancel free of charge up to 48 h beforehand and pay later; for the Teide tour and the pirate ship, up to 24 h beforehand. Jungle Park and Aqualand can't be cancelled.

The "Headout Promise" guarantees to rebook you or refund you if the venue closes, the provider cancels, the guide doesn't show up or something that was included is missing. It doesn't cover bad weather, queues, arriving late or your own cancellation. There's 24/7 support by email, phone and chat, with the aim of resolving issues within 48 h.

On Trustpilot it scores 4.4 from almost 64,000 reviews, with 14% one-star, and it replies to 99% of negative ones in under 24 h. Its app is rated around 4.7. That's a snapshot of today. The praise is for how easy it is to book and for helpful staff; the complaints are about bookings that don't show up, queues at the ticket office and unexpected charges.

On languages it falls short for this guide: it has Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Dutch, but not Hungarian, Lithuanian, Chinese or Japanese.

Who it suits

People who already use the Headout app and want a Siam Park or Loro Parque ticket with pay later. Bear in mind that its 48 h window is stricter than GetYourGuide's 24 h and Civitatis' 12 h for the same €44 ticket.

For Aqualand and Jungle Park, buy on the official website: it's cheaper, especially if you're visiting both. For boats and excursions, you're better off with a platform that has more choice and more reviews.

Alternatives

GetYourGuide has the biggest catalogue and 24 h cancellation on the parks. Civitatis gives the widest window at Siam Park and Loro Parque. Klook has even fewer reviews on the island. Compare them all in compare prices.
