If you search for "beach club Tenerife" and Monkey comes up, adjust your expectations. It doesn't rent out sunbeds on the beach with drinks service: it's a raised venue with a restaurant, a rooftop called Cielo, a sunset cocktail bar and a programme of parties. There are day beds, but as an upgrade within the parties, and the club doesn't publish what they cost.
When it comes to booking, the rule is simple. Whatever the club organises is booked with the club or through its ticketing channel. What you'll find on GetYourGuide isn't the club's own event, but a promoter's party held on the rooftop two days a week.
Who's behind it
The venue belongs to Nuevo Servicio y Turismo J.C.C., S.L. (tax ID B38581674) and is part of Grupo Monkey, whose website also links to Kong by Monkey and Bésame Mucho Tenerife. It has been open since 2007. Group contact: info@grupomonkey.com and +34 822 272 019.
The official address is Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina 3, Playa de Troya, Costa Adeje, although the contact page puts it in "Playa de las Américas". It's the same area: the terrace looks out over Playa de Troya towards La Gomera, which is why sunset is its best hour. The website is monkeybeachclub.com.
What's inside and how to book each part
| Space | What it is | How to get in |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant | rice dishes, seafood and grills, recommended by Spain's Repsol Guide (Guía Repsol) | book with the club |
| Cielo | rooftop with sushi, tapas, champagne and live music; Tuesday to Saturday; Repsol "Solete" | book with the club |
| Kong | cocktails, sunset and a DJ | no bookings |
| Mediterranean area | food and cocktails | ask the club |
For the restaurant and Cielo, the safe bet is to email or phone the group. Cielo is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so don't plan it for those days. At Kong there are no tables to book: if you want a spot for the sunset, get there early.
Parties and nights out
- Beach parties: every Sunday, and some Saturdays, from May to October, 18:00 to midnight. The season's closing party is on Sunday 11 October at 18:00; after that there are no Sunday parties until May.
- Autumn nights: Jaleo Urbano on Saturdays at 22:30 and The White Party, run by the promoter Events Lab, on Thursdays at 22:30, scheduled until at least 26 November.
Tickets for these events are sold on Fourvenues, linked from the club's party page. Check the line-up there: it changes with the season.
The GetYourGuide pool party: what exactly you're buying
GetYourGuide sells the Utopia Pool Party at Cielo, on Mondays and Fridays from 12:00 to 18:00, over-18s only, from about €30. It's run by Utopia Boat Party, not the club, and it's rated 3.8 out of 5, low by Tenerife standards.
The key point: the ticket only gets you in. It doesn't include a table, a seat or a day bed; those upgrades are paid for on arrival and nobody publishes their price. One customer said they paid €30 extra per person for a table with €30 of drinks each. Bring your passport or national ID card, swimwear and a towel. If you want to be sitting down all afternoon, budget for an extra cost you won't know for sure until you're there.
