Travelin' Lady does one thing and does it well: 90 minutes with the pilot whales off Los Cristianos, a pass by the Cueva del Amor (Love Cave) and a swim beside Montaña de Guaza. It's the most efficient option if you're staying in Los Cristianos or Las Américas. It isn't the most complete: there's no food, drinks are extra and it doesn't go as far as the cliffs.

Who's behind it and which boat it uses
The company is Travelin' Lady S.L., with its official website at travelinladytenerife.es (the .com version is an unrelated parked domain). Phone and WhatsApp: +34 614 839 459.
The boat is a red and white yacht that the company calls an "eco-yacht", built in the Canary Islands and used only for whale watching, with its engines below the hull. On board there's shade, a low rail so you can see the water up close, separate men's and women's toilets and a small bar.
The "eco" label and "the only boat in Tenerife designed for whale watching" are the company's own claims; nobody certifies them. What can be checked is the licence: Travelin' Lady is on the Canary Islands Government's official register of whale-watching boats, based in Los Cristianos. Capacity isn't published.
The trip: route, duration and what's included
The trip lasts 1 h 30: the pilot whale area (depths of about 1,000 m), Montaña de Guaza, the Cueva del Amor, a swim and back. The resident colony lives a few kilometres from the harbour, so you spend little time sailing and a lot of time watching; that's the whole point of heading out from Los Cristianos.
- Included: the boat trip, the swim and commentary in Spanish, English, French and Italian, plus audio in German and other languages.
- Not included: food and drink. Bring water.
- Swimming: you need to be able to swim unaided; masks for hire and life jackets on request.
- Pushchairs: yes, folded.
- Reduced mobility: passengers who can walk up the ramp and manage a step are welcome; the GetYourGuide listing says it isn't suitable for wheelchair users.

Direct price versus the platforms
On its own website an adult costs from €27.90. On GetYourGuide it's from €29.90, with a crossed-out price of €38 that's an operator promotion, not a platform discount. There are child and infant rates; the amount shows up when you choose a date.
If you're sure of your date, the direct website is €2 cheaper. GetYourGuide brings verified reviews and cancellation from the app, which is handy if the weather looks uncertain (GetYourGuide review).
Cancellation, bad weather and sightings
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours beforehand; date changes also with 24 h' notice. After that, or if you don't turn up, there's no automatic refund.
- If the boat doesn't sail because of the sea, wind or a technical problem, you're offered another date or a full refund.
- Arrive early: the website asks for 15 minutes and GetYourGuide for 20. Latecomers lose their place, and the pay car park by the harbour tends to fill up in high season.
The company says sightings are very frequent but that nothing can be 100% guaranteed. That's the honest answer: no operator on the island gives a written guarantee. Pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins live here all year round.
What the ratings say
On GetYourGuide it's rated 4.7 out of 5 from more than 19,000 reviews, the highest number for any trip in Tenerife, and carries the best-selling water activity label. Holding that rating at that volume says a lot.
What might disappoint you is clear in advance: an hour and a half is short if you're expecting a morning at sea, not even a glass of water is included and you won't see Los Gigantes. Also, Travelin' Lady isn't on Tenerife Tourism's voluntary Sustainability Charter, unlike several competitors; that doesn't mean it breaks any rules, just that it isn't on that list, which is reviewed every year.
Score
- Respect for the animals
- 3.5/5Licence in order and a short route; "eco" is its own label and it isn't on the voluntary Sustainability Charter.
- Boat and comfort
- 4.5/5A yacht designed for whale watching: low rail, shade, toilets. Not suitable for wheelchairs.
- Price
- 4/5€27.90 for an hour and a half is fair, but no drink is included.
- Guide and commentary
- 4/5Commentary in four languages plus audio in others.
- Booking and cancellation
- 4.5/5Free up to 24 h and a full refund if the sea calls it off.
The good
- The most direct trip: little transit, lots of time with the pilot whales.
- Swim stop included beside Montaña de Guaza.
- Easy to find: kiosk no. 2 and a red and white boat.
- Cheaper on its own website than on the platform.
The not so good
- No food or drink included.
- Doesn't go as far as Los Gigantes or Masca.
- Not suitable for wheelchair users.
- Capacity not published.
Who it's for and who it isn't
Book it if you're staying between Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje (from there it's about ten minutes by car, bus or taxi), you're travelling with children who get tired on long trips or you don't want to give up half a day.
Look elsewhere if you get seasick and don't want to swim (the Mar de Ons catamaran, at the same harbour, is advertised as stable), if you want food on board or if you've set your heart on the cliffs.
Alternatives
- At the same harbour: Mar de Ons' "Eco No-Chase", from €25 online and without a swim (who's who with Bonadea); the Peter Pan schooner, 2 h with a swim; the Ragnarok Viking ship for children.
- From Puerto Colón: the Freebird catamarans, with drinks included and trips of up to 4.5 h. More options in whale watching from Costa Adeje.
- From Los Gigantes: Flipper Uno, with cliffs and a swim in a cove in 2 hours (all the Los Gigantes trips).
